Privacy Policy

SalonOS (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a salon management platform operated by Svachalita, Alwar, Rajasthan, India. It includes a business application for salon owners and staff (“SalonOS”) and a companion application for salon clients (“Maison”), available at salonos.svachalita.in and as installable Android/iOS apps. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using SalonOS or Maison you agree to this policy.

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, mobile number, email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider).

Salon business data (salon accounts). Salons store their business records on SalonOS: services and prices, appointments, invoices and payments, staff details, salaries and commissions, inventory, expenses and client records (client names, phone numbers and visit history that the salon enters).

Client activity (Maison accounts). When you use the client app we process your bookings, the invoices salons issue to you, memberships, packages, loyalty points, wallet balances and the feedback you submit.

Automatically collected information. Standard technical data such as device type, browser, IP address and pages visited, used for security and to keep the service working well. We do not sell this data or use third-party advertising.

• To provide the service: bookings, billing, memberships, reminders and reports.
• To link a client account with their record at a salon, using the mobile number, so visits and invoices appear in the client app.
• To send service messages — for example appointment confirmations and reminders via WhatsApp, where the salon has enabled it.
• To generate business insights for salons (e.g. AI-assisted daily briefings) from that salon’s own data.
• To keep the platform secure, prevent abuse and comply with the law.

We never sell personal information and we do not show third-party ads.

Between salons and their clients. A salon sees the client records it maintains (name, phone, visits, invoices). A client sees their own bookings, invoices, memberships and offers from salons they are linked to. Salons act as independent data controllers for the client records they create.

Service providers.We use trusted processors to run the platform: Supabase (database, authentication and storage), Vercel (hosting), WhatsApp Business messaging providers (for salon-initiated messages such as booking confirmations) and Google (AI features that process the salon’s own business data to produce summaries). Each provider processes data only to provide its service.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, such as tax records relating to invoices.

• Account data is kept while your account is active.
• Invoices and billing records are retained as required by Indian tax law (GST), even after an account is closed.
• Salon-held client records belong to the salon; clients can ask the salon to correct or remove their record.
• Backups are retained for a limited period and then automatically purged.

All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Data is stored with row-level security so each salon can only access its own records and each client can only access their own data. Passwords are hashed, and access tokens expire automatically. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard measures.

• Access and update your profile details in the app at any time.
• Delete your account — clients can do this directly in the app (Profile → Delete account) or by following the steps on our account deletion page.
• Ask us to correct, export or erase your personal data by emailing info@svachalita.in.
• Opt out of promotional messages by telling your salon or contacting us.

SalonOS and Maison are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
